Our annual coverage of the Layne Staley Tribute has always included Layne’s Mom Nancy performing “Wake Up”. The tribute was held at the Neptune Theatre in the University District, downtown Seattle.
She engages us and then sings with Layne - as she had always wanted to.
Donations for the Layne Staley Fund through Therapeutic Health Services (THS) can be made through Layne-Staley.com
Huge thanks to Nancy for giving a shoutout to Scotty Olson (most notably of Heart and other bands; he also performed with Alice In Chains on Unplugged). Scotty has been dealing with early onset dementia.
