Join us on December 7, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. EST for a webinar featuring Nami Melumad, the first woman to serve as the primary composer for a Star Trek series. The session will be moderated by Amy Imhoff, Explore Mars’s new Director of Outreach and Strategic Partnerships.
Melumad is the composer of Strange New Worlds, the Star Trek prequel series that premiered earlier this year, as well as the Emmy nominated series Star Trek Prodigy. Melumad also composed music for the recent Marvel film, Thor: Love and Thunder. Melumad and Imhoff will discuss the challenge and pressure of writing musical scores for the Star Trek franchise as well the growing influence of female composers in the traditionally male dominated profession of film and television scoring.
