Furnace has recently added support for the irem GA20 chip and i did this just to test it. It's essentially another unique proprietary sample chip made by irem... but it's pretty cool actually. Also i would like to say, merry christmas everyone! (if you actually do celebrate it)

Tbh, this sounds like the neo geo but actually better. The Sega Cd soundchip together with the sega genesis soundchips, together make up 18 audio channels, meanwhile the Ym2610B can do only 16 (but with some serious limitations)!
Also, yes, I sampled the fm bass on the pcm chip because the Ym2612 was already full doing the chords and the melody.

Well, i am kinda of back. I found the original file for this tune last monday and decided to complete it, because it sounded really incredible.
Now honestly, i dont know how i actually was able to make a tune with the namco 163, because its one of the soundchips that were the most difficult (at least for me) to make a tune on.
I mixed the track on a separated daw, because everything was on the center and the melody kept being drowned by the other elements.
