Surgery is a lot safer for cats and dogs than it used to be, but it's also best if you can prevent your cats from getting to that place whenever possible by brushing their teeth once a day! It may sound like a hassle, but it only takes a couple minutes (as long as you have two people). More than half of adult cats have some form of dental disease!! It can eventually lead to pain, infection, and your cat losing teeth! If your cat accidentally breaks a canine, make sure to take them to the vet because the dental pulp inside is often exposed, which is very painful and can eventually lead to infection.
