This video shows just how easy it is to build a 0HP Vactrol VCA or Low Pass Gate! Harder than the OR Gate but not as hard as the AND Gate with the caveat that the Vactrol VCA needs to be calibrated. Well within the capabilities of anyone with a good ear, a soldering iron in hand and a song in their heart.
