It may be a bit cheesy to say, but this game is extremely special to me. Not only does it totally win my heart with its simple yet effective narrative, goofy characters and amazing music, but it also has literally changed my life. I can say with full honesty that this channel would not have been as much of a success without it, I wouldnt have met so many of my YouTube friends such as Nah Tony here without it. The game was there in the early stages of me and my girlfriends relationship. I dont know if there will ever be another game with the effect this one had. Thanks to Toby Fox, Temmie and the rest of their team for creating Undertale.
To celebrate, I wanted to finally cover one of my favourite boss themes from the game- ASGORE! The song captures the energy of I dont want to hurt you, but the fate of the kingdom depends on the outcome of this fight so well, and I wanted to try and preserve it in this remix! I showed what I came up with to Anthony in a discord call and without even really saying anything, he started playing along and sending me all of his recordings! Happy Week of NoteBlock! WoNB is the yearly celebration of my channels anniversary in which I stretch myself as thin as possible to create 7 remixes for each day leading up to April 14th, which will be the NoteBlock channels 8th birthday! To start things off, were gonna speed right into the week in a blue blur! Just in time for the Sonic 2 movie, too. Very excited to go see it with Anissa! To reflect the cinematic nature of the film, I wanted to try and combine a lot of orchestral/movie score elements into my usual EDM/drum & bass style. According to legend (and the Pokédex apparently), the rainbow Pokémon Ho-oh is said to bring eternal happiness to those who witness it. It is also said that will reveal itself before a pure-hearted trainer by shining its bright rainbow-colored wings. SO what this all means is that because this Ho-oh has appeared in your sub box, you are of pure heart and you will listen to this and obtain eternal happiness! ...Then again, the Pokédex also says that Ho-oh possesses seven-colored wings, which is blatantly false. OH WELL.
