Hey, it's Tom back with another authentic floppy adventure! Just like the BBS days, I'm going in completely blind - no research, no prep, just pure discovery. This 30-40 year old disk is like a time capsule, and you're along for the ride as I figure out these games in real-time.
🎮 THE FLOPPY LINEUP:
📦 FRONT SIDE:
🚀 Dan Dare: Pilot of the Future - England's #1 smash hit! Comic book adventure that had me stumped until I discovered you can actually fight back. Who knew grenades were an option?
🛡️ Vikings - A Commando clone with serious PAL flickering issues. Watch me switch to PAL mode and see this game transform completely - night and day difference!
🌌 Space Doubt - This ZX Spectrum-looking game left me wandering around with zero points, completely baffled. Maybe you can tell me what I was supposed to do?
📦 BACK SIDE:
♟️ Archon - The chess-meets-combat classic! I'm absolutely terrible at it but still love every minute. Banshees are OP, change my mind.
🚀 Death or Glory - The most frustrating game ever? All I could do was spin in circles. Seriously, what am I missing here?
🐉 Drago - Russian freeware that's... well, it's freeware. You get what you pay for.
👮 SWAT - Mastertronic's $1.99 cop shooter. Easy to play, worth the budget price, don't shoot grandma!

Having that PAL/NTSC switcher chip continues to blow my mind. Seeing these games as they were meant to be played instead of the flickering, epilepsy-inducing versions we Americans endured is incredible. It's literally changing how I experience "What's on That Floppy?"
🎯 Tom's Floppy Verdict:
Front side gets a solid thumbs up - Dan Dare and Vikings (in PAL mode) are keepers. Space Doubt gets a C for confusion. Back side is more mixed, but Archon remains a classic even when I'm terrible at it.
