Foundations of Nursing Practice at UW–Madison (NURSING 313) focuses on teaching future nurses how to provide care that puts the patient first. By having nursing students practice in a classroom that looks like a hospital setting, they gain confidence with applying the nursing processes and begin to develop clinical judgment and assessment skills.
