Some men aren’t necessarily done spending. They’re becoming more selective about **where their money goes, what they spend it on, and whether they believe they’re actually getting value in return.**
Dating apps. Expensive first dates. New cars. Luxury brands. Nightlife. Status symbols. Even marriage and long-term financial commitments.
The question is changing from **“Can I afford it?”** to **“Is this actually worth it?”**
For generations, men have been told that success means providing, paying, upgrading, impressing and proving what they can afford. But what happens when more men stop spending simply to meet expectations or impress other people?
In this video, we break down what I call the **silent male economy** — the possibility that some men aren’t abandoning spending at all. They’re simply redirecting their money toward the things they personally value.
And dating may be where this shift becomes the most controversial.
Are simpler first dates becoming the new normal? Are men pulling away from traditional provider expectations? What happens when men no longer see expensive dating, luxury purchases, dating app subscriptions or certain traditional milestones as automatically worth the cost?
This isn’t about saying men are broke, women are gold diggers, or that men should stop providing. It’s about a much bigger question:
