Here are my 4 top choices for mobile ham radio's. I discuss my top choices as well as some accessory considerations including antennas, tools and mounting brackets for your ham radio in you vehicle. With many choices to make on how you will install a ham radio into your vehicle, you need to sit down and plan it out so that you get the best install the first time and are able to enjoy your new ham radio investment. EDIT: I goofed and forgot to review the Yaesu FTM-300DR. Great radio has a few less features than the 400XDR and $100 less in price.
