The best way to learn 3d modeling 3D Modeling is to practice. Here are my top 3D modeling concepts and tools that I seek out in any new 3D animation software package I learn. In this case, I'm using the free Blender 2.8.

These allow you to build geometry and should be in everyone's toolbox. Learn these and then go practice! We cover merging (welding) vertices (points), separating objects, joining objects, cutting polys with the knife tool, extruding polygons, inset faces, loop cut and slide, and others. These are core techniques that will allow you to model almost anything in any software package once you learn what they are and how to use them.
