Charinus acosta is the smallest known tailless whip scorpion (amblypygid) species on earth! Thanks to Henry, a local hobbyist and breeder of this species, I now have 2 juvenile whip spiders of this species that reproduces through parthenogenesis. If all goes well, I will eventually have a colony of these fascinating, miniscule communal amblypygids, Charinus acosta, also known as the Cuban whip spider.
