Well, it's finally here. After showing you WIP pics of what I'm working on, it's now completed! The enhanced version of my 2000 Fox Interactive logo remake.
Now, let's get started with the structure because it received a massive overhaul. Using fonts by 629Lyric and updating the model from scratch, the structure is now more realistic than ever, especially compared with my original model. Lighting has also received a massive overhaul and tbh, some of the lighting looks almost like the original. Textures has also been updated along with the mosaic texture. Thomas created the texture BTW And the sky, it was made by Thomas Percival as well.
Smoke effects have now been improved by using particle systems and halo textures instead of making the smoke effect in Sony Vegas. This gives it a more smokey effect and even though it's no smoke simulation, it's pretty close. The smoke now also have ripple effect done via Sony Vegas to make it more close to the original (It's actually kinda hard to get it right). The spotlights are now animated because in the original, they're moving. However, the most important update (not really) is the inclusion of signs.
There are now signs on the logo (not based on the original Fox logo) and I've added some actual logos (i.e. McDonald's, Coca-Cola) along with two icons from certain YouTubers and billboards have made the debut on this remake. However, there are more billboards than my previous Fox remakes. This bit was inspired by Thomas Percival's remake. Oh, and the buildings now have a slight texture to them.
Total time it took was around 4 days and honestly, I'm quite happy with how it came out.
-Blender 3D 2.77 for the 3D elements and the smoke.
-Sony Vegas Pro 13 for the composting and adding the elements.
