MY STYLE IS TOO BORING? π€ i got a comment a few weeks ago suggesting I should experiment with my clothes more and that my outfits were too repetitive, which got me thinking.
I do certainly enjoy experimenting with my clothes, but too much experimentation or the pursuit of adding something new to βchange it upβ all the time often landed me with a closet full of clothes and STILL nothing to wear. Not to mention wasted money, and a whole lot of decluttered items that probably ended up in a landfill.
Iβm happy to add new pieces to my closet, and I have, but instead of defaulting to needing something brand new when things feel repetitive, why not take that feeling as an opportunity to experiment with what we already own?
Feeling good and fresh in your clothes doesnβt necessarily always have to hedge on buying a new or statement item all the time. Rather, it may be more enlightening to learn to dress for how we want to FEEL, experiment with styling, accessories, layers, hair or makeupβ¦rather than worrying about being too repetitive.
Itβs about the focus. Is it about Dressing to feel good or is it about dressing to look different? When you dress to feel good, to me it means you know yourself and you know your style. And if you feel good, then how can that be boring? #outfitrepeater #personalstyle #shopyourcloset #minimalistwardrobe
