As a German customer I was and still am deeply disappointed in how Valve handled the entire age verification mess with Germany.
I understand that countries have certain laws they require companies to uphold and that Valve has no obligation to provide a solution for their customers but it does still speak volumes on how much they care about their customers.
When they just region lock an entire country over adult content and make zero efforts in finding a solution for their German users to be able to use their platform how they used to be able to before, providing a worse service.
Well, they arent getting any of my money any more.
And so I will continue to spend my money on third party websites while still enjoying all the benefits Steam provides without actually spending a single cent on their platform directly.
I'm sure they dont care about the few hundred bucks I used to spend but its about the message to me and not the impact I make.
With that out of the way, I also went over what I was up to on Steam for 2025.
My fight against scammers, actually playing games, participating in discussions and more.
