After joining all my squares together I joined the front and back pieces, right sides together, with simple single crochets.

I went down a hook size to crochet around the opening to give it a nice clean look.

I think magnetic snaps would work well for the closer, or maybe a zipper if I’m ever feeling adventurous. You could even go with a simple button strap closure… so many options.
