At long last, I've acquired a Mateba MTR-8. This 8-round .38 special DA revolver was designed by Italian Emilio Ghisoni in 1980*, and is currently incredibly hard to find - only 10 were ever imported to the United States. In the next few weeks I hope to add a video of the gun being fired, a detailed look at the the gun from every angle, and a comparison with other Ghisoni revolvers I have.
*I just found another source, the Italian magazine Armi e Tiro, that says the gun was first produced in 1983.
