Here I am again with another Genesis song cover! I was really unhappy with the Genesis version of Shadow of the Beasts soundtrack, especially the US version where the sound is like 2 times too fast. The Japanese release mostly fixed the speed problem, but the song still didnt really utilize the Genesis hardware very well.
Thinking again that maybe I could do better, I opened up Deflemask and spent a couple of nights seeing if I was right. Whaddya think? I know its still not the Amiga version but Im happy with the way this came out considering the limitations of the Genesis sound hardware. Which, despite those limitations, the Genesis sound hardware is still pretty great in my opinion!
I know its not perfect, bear with me, Im still new at this, this is only the second song Ive made in a music tracker ever and I did it by ear while still learning how to use the software as well. For the drums, I sampled them from the real song during the solo and then resampled them at the lower frequency required by the Genesis hardware.

UPDATE: I accidentally said the arcade game released in 1990 instead of 1989. The arcade game came out in 1989 of course and the Genesis version came out in 1990. I added a card correcting that in video and this note here. I wrote it right in my script and said it right in earlier takes but for some reason stupidly missed my mistake in the final video, sorry.
