Heading back to the 35mm content in dribs and drabs (with my inactivity mostly due to the absolutely draining holiday season at work over the past week or so), with this one I got as a Christmas gift. I was surprised to find out that upon opening the package this is a Technicolor print. As some know, Technicolor shut down their 35mm film distribution lab a good deal before Deluxe, which went on until around May of 2014 before FotoKem became dominant. Granted, the credits do note “Prints by Technicolor” clearly, but Paramount’s dependence on the Deluxe lab especially this late into the format’s lifespan had me making different assumptions. I was proven wrong, and I wholeheartedly welcome it. :-)
