I’m a retired Hedge Fund quant that saved up four million dollars to retire early. Now I live in my Tesla as a homeless millionaire. Here I explain why I chose this unorthodox lifestyle.

Living on a fixed retirement budget, I want to maximize the range of experiences I can feel on that budget, and experience spikes in hedonistic bliss that parallel those of Roman emperors.

In quantitatively studying human happiness, I’ve concluded that the “hedonic treadmill” allows us to “get used to” any standard of living, so there is a lifestyle hack that can be exploited here.
