Renovating my 100 year old house continues… and this week my Edwardian house renovation comes with a slightly terrifying discovery. After meeting my new neighbour, I found out their old house renovation involved serious dry rot downstairs — and now I’m wondering what that could mean for my own 100 year old house renovation.
Elsewhere in this house renovation vlog, I’m carrying on with plenty of DIY house renovation, transforming my office with a dark olive green for the ultimate dark academia office, staining wood for my new shelves and attempting to build my new garden furniture. Naturally, not everything in this DIY renovation goes according to plan.
This home renovation is also getting EXPENSIVE. Between furniture, decorating, appliances, DIY supplies and my mortgage, the reality of being a first time homeowner and taking on an old house renovation is definitely starting to hit.
