My KIM-1 Clone Proof of Concept with Arduino Mega and TM1638 Digital Display Development Board..
This project is still in Development.
I'm may use an Arduino board for the processing but I'm also considering using an ESP32 with a STC micro controller I/O interface on the TM1638 Digital Display Development Board instead of the Data, Clock and Strobe connection. With the possibility of an RS232 port and I may even try to add a Composite Video Output to emulate the TV Typewriter add-on board with 16 lines of 32 Upper case characters.
