It was initially accepted for print, but subsequently pulled from the magazine, denying the magazine's readership the chance to get to hear this important, powerful, and impassioned story.
It's time for it to find its audience now, and hopefully educate, inform, help and inspire people.
The world has moved on a lot in the 37 years since HIV was first discovered, but so many people still believe that what was true back then must still be true today.
It is not.
This is my very personal account of what has happened in my life since my diagnosis with HIV in June 2017.
A lot of tears went into writing it, and there have been a few more in the filming and editing of this video.
