This video is my introduction to the plans I have to explore student pens during 2023. I'm just getting started with 3 pens (all purchased with channel ad money):

I am slowly catching up with pen pal letters and focusing on the 8 pens I have inked for January (coming soon will be the Progress Report) and the Pelican Pelikano M is so far a real joy to write with!
Also full confession: although I've stayed really focused on student pens for the most part I did finally purchase a Kakimori nib (with channel ad money) for ink testing this month. But I bi-passed purchasing at least 3 pens because they didn't fall in the category of student pens. I think the Kakimori nib will really help me with ink sample swatching and testing but that was a major fall off the wagon (of student pens) I intend to stay on so I wanted to get that out there here. :) I may or may not have also gone completely wild with Christmas money and purchased a beautiful nib holder for it. I'll do my best to stay on track from now on though.
