A Day of Small Things | My first Welsh novel // White Ravens by Owen Sheers // Reading Journal @adayofsmallthings | Uploaded February 2022 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
'White Ravens' is a modern retelling of the second branch of Mabinogion. It's a story about a beautiful woman called Branwen, her Welsh brothers and her Irish husband during WWII. Three things I love most: the Welsh folklore, the historical details about the War and the beautiful writing. I'll certainly be talking about Welsh literature more in the future! Happy Reading :)
