Time flies! It's been over 13 years since I made my first Square Foot Garden and uploaded a video to You Tube. Join me and we'll travel back in time and you can watch a newbie square foot gardener in action! LOL
Prior to using the SFG method, I always played around with gardening in my backyard. I'd pick up tomato, pepper, and herb plants at the nursery and plant them in my native, newly tilled, soil.
This video series was my first endeavor to try raised bed gardening year round. I was very skeptical of growing in only 6 inches of soil, but to my surprise, it worked fabulously!
The series was recorded in northwest Florida and I have since moved to western North Carolina where I had to relearn how to grow in a cooler climate.
