I moved to Lagos, Nigeria for 6 months — and let’s just say… the first month did NOT go as planned.
From being unexpectedly homeless (yes, really), to juggling Airbnb chaos, managing my relocation business, and hosting 10+ clients during Lagos Fashion Week, this first episode of *Plot Twist: Lagos* is a wild start to the reality series I never knew I needed to make.
👋🏾 I'm Tia — a Nigerian-American entrepreneur and content creator. After building a travel & relocation company helping the African diaspora reconnect with Nigeria, I finally decided to live here full-time (well, for 6 months).
In this series, I'm sharing the real, the ridiculous, and the rewarding sides of life in Lagos — from power outages and short-let nightmares to community, cultural reinvention, and finding joy in the chaos.
Featured in this episode:
- The truth about renting and short-lets in Lagos
- Hosting my clients during Lagos Fashion Week
- Trying (and failing) to live the “soft life” in Nigeria
- What happens when your friend’s promise falls through mid-flight
