Hey everyone, finally got a hold of one of those damn IRS scammers. I cold called this scammer's number and after asking my name, the first guy quickly transferred me to some other scumbag who sounded like he was in his car... This scammer was pretty aggressive and vague, but I rolled with it and played dumb for almost an hour. Sorry about that buddy...

The scam: Someone claiming to be with the IRS or from the "Criminal Investigation Department" of the IRS will call and say
that the police will arrest you or you will go to jail if you don't pay them a certain amount right away. They'll say they have "allegations" or a "lawsuit" against your name or account and that you need to go to a Western Union to wire an officer or department the money. It's all a complete scam of course. The IRS will never call out of the blue. Screw these scammers!
