After thorough testing and familiarization with the new equipment, I take my new Avidyne IFD GPS/NAV/COMs into the clouds for the first time. Join me at my home airport, Cedar Rapids IA (KCID), as I fly an ILS and an RNAV/GPS approach - the latter with a hold for course reversal. I will show you how to program a simple flight plan, load an approach, fly a hold, intercept the final approach course, and use the synthetic vision feature of the IFD550.

As always, I look forward to your comments and questions here on YouTube.
