With 200 years of antique shoes laid out, we can begin to see the stories told across time. How the heel disappeared for a few decades and came back a little changed, how paved streets changed the wear on leather soles, how shoes were made with so many hands and skills, and how feet existed in a wide range of shapes and sizes in all eras.
