TADAA!!! SO I got this idea last Friday but I still had my Jet Lag part to do and I had friends over the whole weekend so I didn't actually get to finish my part until Monday...I took a raw backup on Tuesday and I was still in the mood so I was like...I've got 3 more days...IF I START NOW THAT'S ENOUGH TIME RIGHT?! Satelitte was a challenge but idk how I got this done . The majority of these masks I did within these last few days...I think my hands just mask automatically now. And I think my weekly twewy editing prepped me for the glitchy style I wanted to do for this song (heavily inspired by this song's lyric video).

ONTO STORY TIME:

Right, so imagine a shoujo set in the pokemon world. First arc is May and Drew as rivals and getting to know each other (think...Mixed Vegetables or like Last Game). Second arc is them actually getting together. May has confessed to Drew! But woe is her :/ Drew doesn't want to date because he was burned badly by his last ex. Drama angst drama. But then Drew is like NO I LOVE HER TOO THO. Fluff confession fluff. Yay they're together.

Now we're onto the Third Arc where you get -gasp- established relationship conflict.

After a grand festival Drew asks whether May wants to visit his hometown with him. And she's surprised because he doesn't open up as much about his past but she's excited so off they go on the boat to LaRousse City. May brings some Liechi Berries because she wants to make a Good Impression on his parents, which Drew finds berry sweet (I had to lol).

May gets into shoujo antics where she tries too hard but his parents like her anyway. May mentions that actually one of her best friends from kindergarten moved to LaRousse. They reconnected recently and are pen pals so she wants to go with Drew to have a meet up. This is all offscreen because as far as the anime is concerned Drew has no parents and I ain't got time to edit that.

She arrives first to meet up with her childhood friend, Rafe. They chat for a bit and May mentions that she's got a boyfriend now, something she hadn't mentioned before since their last letter exchange was before she and Drew got together. Rafe spots Drew and waves him over...May thinks he recognises him because she's just finished describing him but WAIT. Drew's seems to recognise Rafe. She's happy that they know each other at first but uh OH so turns out their exes. Who had a Bad Break Up. Very bad because Drew yells at Rafe. This leaves May sad because Rafe was her first friend :( Rafe can tell things would be messy if he stayed so he leaves.

Drew's not in a good mood at first but he realises he's not here to fume about his ex, so he tries to cheer up with some encouragement from May. They go pick up her ID since she wanted to try out the Battle Tower. She's annoyed it came out bad but Drew thinks it's cute and gives her another rose.

That evening Drew does his main shoujo love interest angsting while watching the sunset and thinking about what he should do (a la High School Debut style). May in her Shoujo protag way, is Too Nice For Her Own Good and wants Drew to reconcile with Rafe as friends. pokemon logic is that they do this through battling at the Battle Tower (again, a la Mixed Vegetables).

Mangaka always wanted to try their hand at shonen so the battle is beautifully drawn and choreographed and THEIR FEELINGS are transmitted through battle.

Post-battle May and Drew go to see the aurora out at night and Drew's smiling at May like She's The Best (cause she is) and Rafe comes along and teases Drew. He also apologises for The Bad Way they broke up and leaves them.

Drew's ready to let it go now though so they all hang out at the park at night. May says sorry for meddling but says she's glad they made up and Drew tells her no need to apologise and they continue googly eyeing each other.

The End...of Arc 3.

Arc 4 is probs gonna be some other person falling for May while she's mentoring upcoming coordinators because shoujos Do Be Like that.

Was it necessary to write all that for this vid? No.

But now you know what was in my head while making this, so there.

What was the Final Bad Thing that Drew and Rafe broke up over? Who knows...feel free to take some guesses...ya never know, it could be cause they tried to flip their hair at the same time.
