My Experience with the Pixi Compact Laser Engraver by AlgoLaser
👍 What I Loved:
- Impressively fast engraving speed
- Rigid and stable die-cast frame
- Fully enclosed design for safety and cleanliness
- Operates independently—no PC or phone needed.
- Compact footprint; can be placed directly over the workpiece
- Comes with an exhaust fan and pipe included
- Compatible with rotary roller for cylindrical objects
- Reliable firmware—no bugs encountered
- Fair and accessible pricing
👎 What Needs Improvement:
- Several grub screws were loose straight out of the box
- Top lid fits too tightly, making it hard to open
- Cutting plate is tricky to remove
- Height adjustment mechanism is frustratingly stiff
- Rotary roller plug feels flimsy and prone to wear
- Limited engraving space when using rotary—anything larger than a soda can won’t fit
