Robin Greenfield | My Dream: To Die in the Woods and Return to Earth @Robin.Greenfield | Uploaded August 2022 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
My goal is to one day walk into the woods and die and to return to the earth… and for everything I’m wearing to return to the earth with me.
So my next big goal is for 100% of the clothes I wear to be made from natural fibers, down to the dye and threads.
So I’m here at Fibershed. Fibershed is going to help me break free from plastic clothing and fast fashion, to be able to have 100% natural fiber clothing. Fibershed is on a mission to create regional, regenerative fiber systems.
This means working with local farmers that are regenerating the soil and pulling carbon from the atmosphere while creating a local textile economy that is healthy for the earth, for humanity and for the animal and plant relatives that we share our home with.
We’re talking about soil-to-soil clothing which means when the clothing is no longer wearable we can actually compost it.
My goal is when I die, to walk into the woods, and return to the Earth with everything that wear on me. Fibershed is one of the best nonprofits I’ve found that is part of the solution and can help you and I be part of the solution too.
