Today we're painting a Custodes Dreadnought for Warhammer 40K!
This month’s winner of the Flashing Badger VIP Painting Program, Korva, selected the mighty new Custodian Dreadnought and asked me to paint it to match his existing Adeptus Custodes army.
In this painting guide I'll take you through the process I used to create an ancient, weathered gold finish, from the initial gold airbrushing through shading, colour tones and highlights. I'll also cover the blue armour panels, shield, decal and weathering, gems, eyes and the snowy ice base.
But this particular VIP painting video comes with a problem...
I let the Discord community control my teleprompter.
Throughout the video, different members of the community were allowed to write sections of the script, resulting in film noir, questionable anime references, repeated face painting, a Council of Freehand and an alarming number of Yipees.
So grab your paints and come along for another ridiculous painting session.
