My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell is the most disturbing book I have ever read, but it was also fantastic. It is a very dark book that looks at the manipulation of a 42 year old teach and his 15 year old student. The manipulation techniques and psychology were really enlightening and I think this is a very important book.

I try my best to set the right expectations for you in this book review so you can be sure you are in the right mindset to pick up this book. It will make you uncomfortable, it is not an easy read, but it is very rewarding for what it teaches you.
