When I use my Teenaged Engineering Pocket Operator sampler, I quite often put beeps I have made using the DeepMind 12 that kind of emulate bin lorries and reversing vehicles into it. When I put them so high, they alias and incorporate other frequencies. This tune uses one of such beeps to play the melody, along with a different creaking door that has other pitches to it. When the melody plays again a minor third higher, the creaking door is layered over two octaves.
Accompanying are the sandwich container percussion and several other samples. Some of the samples do massive sweeps where each note is sustained at times through the piece, kind of responding to the melody.
This was based on a melody I found myself singing on the morning of the 22nd of May 2026.
