Behold, my CGC Comic book collection!
Wow, I went overboard with the length of this video...and I didn't even get to talk about every single thing I wanted to! Haha, oh well, that's the beauty of collections. There are just too many stories to share and you can't fit them all in one sitting!
So in this video, I show off the comics in my collection. The only book in my collection that I think I have due to investing/flipping reasons is the Batman Adventures 12 comic book. Other than that, I basically have books of what I personally feel are cool. Some of which just so happen to be also worth a pretty penny (Thank goodness!).
I guess you could say my CGC obsession got kickstarted with the Marvel Fortnite covers. I fell into the rabbit hole and never got out! I may attempt to grade every single Rian Gonzales 1:25 Batgirls cover because why not! But slow and steadily of course. Unless my channel gets popular then boom I'll do it in one go after making sure I paid off any debts of course! But yeah Rian Gonzales makes art! Rachta Lin is another great cover illustrator but I have no CGCs to showcase of hers....yet! I have an idea of what I'd like to send!
There are some really great exclusive variant covers out there by artists like Jason Scott Campbell with his Campbell exclusive, and Tyker Kirkham with his Kirkham exclusives. That Amazing Spider-man 2 comic is awesome, but if I could get my hands on cover E with Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales....Oh boy. There's a few more I'd like to add to the collection in the future. But you need to be careful with exclusive covers, with the sheer quantity that releases and the frequency...are they really exclusive? That's a whole different topic haha.
How about the Starfire #3 by the late Darwyn Cooke? Wow. I kinda wanna get more issues from the guy I bought it from but he himself is a huge fan of Darwyn Cooke and even has personalised art from him! So I doubt I can get another copy. But hey, maybe one day! It's such a beautiful cover. Almost like Kim Possible vibes!
Anyways, what do you think of the collection? I like it. Do you have your own collection posted? Let me know and I'll check out the video! If there's one thing cool, it's appreciating another collector's prized collection. Because ultimately they had their own reasons as to why they collected what they have and they'll have a story perhaps! In a world filled with darkness, it's nice to take a break and listen to others talk about what they enjoy or what makes them proud! That's why hobbies are fun!
