The carburetor on the '64 Falcon Futura just dumped fuel out of two vents mid-shoot — and that's where this episode picks up. We dig into the Autolite 2100 to figure out whether it's a stuck float, a bad needle and seat, or something else entirely.

Inside the carb: pulling the float, checking it for fuel intrusion by sound, inspecting the needle's rubber tip, and looking for debris around the seat that can cause a stuck-open float. We also cover why an early '65 289/260 fuel pump with the built-in filter is worth running on any car with a questionable gas tank, and why keeping a spare needle and seat, power valve, and accelerator pump bellows in your road kit will save you when parts stores come up empty.

Carb goes back together, engine fires back up — and then a whole new problem shows up: a miss that traces back to cylinder number two. Spark plug checks out fine, which points to one likely culprit left: the gas itself.

It's Not Madness, It's FORD!
