I love the Blackmagic Pocket cinema camera OG, Its a super power mini cinema camera that produces absolutely gorgeous footage. But as these BMPCC OG are getting stupidly expensive now, I thought I would share with you how I set up the camera to maximise its usability. All the settings you need to check, when I use which ISO's and where everything is in the menus.
I have used a wide variety of lenses ranging from super budget 7artisans, to Arles Vista primes to create this content.
Blackmagic Design's Pocket Cinema Camera OG HD was released way back in 2013. Since then, it has developed a real following. Over the past year, I have rediscovered how much fun it it is to film with. It's so simple to use, navigate and understand.
Most of this video was shot documentary style, handheld, no gimbals and available light. I used a variety of lenses, to show how different quality lenses render final images on the s16mm dual gain output Fairchild sensor.
Some footage has been left clean, just a REC709 conversion. Other footage has been graded and stabilised before a film simulation (film look creator / dehancer / filmconvert) has been applied.
