Cycling the world - Asia: episode 48
I leave my wild campsite deep in the Omani mountains and continue along one of the most spectacular bikepacking routes of the journey. Flooded wadis, dramatic mountain scenery and steep dirt climbs make every kilometre unforgettable, but a powerful storm is closing in and the real challenge is still ahead. As I push higher into the mountains, my rear hub begins to fail, leaving me stranded nearly 2000 metres above sea level with no easy way forward. Tonight there is nothing I can do except pitch my tent, cook some tortellini and hope tomorrow brings a solution.
