The Rio Trio performing My Baby Just Cares For Me by Walter Donaldson and Gus Khan. Nina Simone had the big hit with the song but it dates back to 1930 when it featured in the movie “Whoopee!”. Richard White: vocals and clarinet Martin Wheatley: banjo; Richard Pite: sousaphone and drums. Recorded live at Boisdale Canary Wharf, London E14, produced and edited by Wayne McIntyre.
The Rio Trio was formed in 1981 and from 1986 to 1996 performed thousands of times throughout the U.K. and the USA. They then split up to spend more time with their mid-life crises and have now come back together again performing as a trio and, along with their waistlines, expanding to bigger and bigger sizes of outfits. (4,5,6 and even 7 piece).
