Nowadays, you can shoot some incredible nice videos with even your cellphone! I was lucky to borrow the new Nokia Lumia 920 to test the camera and see how well it performed when shooting video. Normally a camera would need a lot of light to make nice pictures and videos. In this video we didnt use any strong lights (see behind the scenes for more info!), but since the camera in the Nokia Lumia 920 has a nice Carl Zeiss lens with aperture at f2 and the new pureView technology, it was exciting to test it out. I shot everything with both a steadycam and handheld, since the camera got a image stabilization inside the lens. The sound was recorded live by several microphones (not the cellphone) and added in post.

The band in the video, called Audio District, performed a live session at their studio in Copenhagen, Denmark, while I filmed.

To celebrate 10 000 subscribers, I have uploaded my science-fiction short Kontakt from 2009! Thanks to everyone who have supported me so far on Youtube! :)
My graduation film at NordlandCollege of Art and Film, Kontakt (Contact), is a science fiction short. All my life I have dreamed about making a science fiction film so this was a fantastic opportunity for me. In addition of being the screenplay writer, director, editor and sound designer in this film, I also made special effects such as UFO lights and special alien eyes that glowed.
In 2010 Kontakt won the price for The best student sci-fi short at the International Horror and Sci-fi festival in Phoenix, Arizona. This is the first award I have won :)
Story: Martin is extremely interested in aliens. Every week he finds a place to sit and study the sky for Ufos. One day, deep in the forest, he accidentally meets Lene, a vain girl from school. She is on her way to a party, but has got lost. Suddenly a lightning object flies across the sky, towards an abandoned house in the forest. In spite to Martins warnings, Lene runs into the house, and Martin must protect her from the mysterious visit.

There are many aspects of a film production and well go through some of those we think is important (click the preferred timecode):
1:43 - Finding the idea and writing
4:04 - Research. Finding the locations, finding actors, buying camera, microphone and light equipment.
10:24 - Shooting the film. Technicolor Cinestyle picture profile, camera angles, directing actors, blocking, lighting a scene and recording sound
20:40 - Editing. Premiere Pro CC, color grading, sound effects, adding music, Music Vine and exporting.
