I've been thinking about this a lot lately. In today's video, I share some observations about **decision fatigue**, the hidden mental load so many of us carry, and why I think previous generations often approached their days differently.
My 88-year-old mom has followed the same gentle rhythm for as long as I can remember. Breakfast, a cup of coffee, reading the newspaper, doing her more demanding tasks when her energy is highest, enjoying lunch, tackling a few lighter jobs, and then taking a well-earned afternoon nap. It isn't a system she learned from a productivity book—it's simply the way she's always lived. Watching her has made me question whether we've lost something valuable in our modern lives.
