We make mistakes because we don’t have enough experience, but the experience comes from the mistakes that we have made in the past, what a paradox, right? In this video, I will confess my biggest motorcycle travel mistakes.
In fact, each and every one of the educational videos that I have on this channel is based on a mistake that I have made and learned from. I don’t have the time to list them all in this video; that’s why I promised to tell you my biggest mistakes.
I have been riding motorcycles for more than 35 years, but I started seriously travelling with a motorcycle about 15 years ago, when I was 35 years old. Fair enough, you might say, you still have plenty of time. Good, but how much exactly? Nothing is promised or guaranteed in this world. The sooner you start, the better.
I have a friend who started when he was almost 70 years old. Now he is trying to do as much as possible to recover the lost time, but his body thinks differently. Now he has a lot of limitations, and every trip requires many compromises.
My goal has always been the same: to see the whole world. Will I be able to complete it? Who knows, but I now seriously regret not having started earlier.
I understand that everyone has some excuses, work, family, kids, or other obligations, but soon or later, you will come to the conclusion that nothing is worth more than the experience that you can have from seeing the world.
Also, what is more important, this will make you even better in your work, a better father, husband, colleague, or friend. It is exactly the opposite of what you thought when you were young.
I know that many won’t understand it, but if you want to give to others, first you have to give yourself. Even in airplanes, in the case of low oxygen levels, you have to put your mask first and then help your kids.
