I wanted to upload some more of the 3D-Printed, 8-String Mountain Dulcimer... but on Father's Day I had a major set-back. I dropped it, and sheared the head clean off!
While this could have ended tragically, I simply printed a new head... made a few adjustments to the gcode- thickening up perimeters, infill, etc. Then I had to get it all reassembled. Long story short... by July 4th it was ready to go again.
So here is my 4th of July Tribute to 'Murica... as interpreted through Jimmy Hendrix... to me and my #3DP8SMD! (3D-Printed, 8-String Mountain Dulcimer).
Also, by way of disclaimer, I have played the Star Spangled Banner before on dulcimer... but not in many years, not with this instrument anyway and definitely not with an amp. So be kind haha

$Naked Day with the Band This is a promo from the infamous last minute re-brand of the Barenaked Ladies Day. This spot ran the week or so before the actual day. A team of people had been working on the whole campaign. Rotoing, compositing, etc. We had shot the band members on green screen and had probably 10 -12 spots, multiple line-ups, IDs etc. All Branded with Naked Day. It was the theme for the day. A lot of the backgrounds are are from IXL (I think). Anyway- Thursday rolls around before the Friday delivery of everything so that it can be aired on Saturday morning and someone in the Standards/Legal dept. makes the call that we cant use the word naked. So, after a crazy 24 hours of all hands on deck - we had to redesign the logo (obviously), then replace it in every single element that we had already produced this included a lot of rendering... which in those days was a major factor. The machines were a fraction of the speed of what were working on these days. It was a crazy time. Good times. ha!$
