Rolf R Bakke | My 3D printer: Updates and a creepy print! @RolfRBakke | Uploaded July 2013 | Updated October 2024, 20 hours ago.
Note: this video has two purposes:
1 - Show new features.
2 - As an stand alone alternative to the previous one for those who prefer less gentlemans bits.
New features:
- Printed a bearing equipped spool holder. (totally overkill! :)
- Made a bearing equipped brass guiding pulley for the filament.
- Glass print plate.
- Main processor now also runs the extruder stepper motor enabling me to retract filament before moving. No more cob web all over the print.
- Fast non-print move with acceleration.
- Each type of line has individual settings for speed and extruder speed.
- Added time-outs and other security to prevent the risk of the printer spilling all the filament in case of communication failure with the PC host.
