For my 39th birthday, I couldn't think of anywhere I'd rather be than out on the water.

We took the Catalina 310 out for the evening, dropped anchor, jumped in the lake, swung from the spare halyard, turned up some good music, and watched the sun slowly disappear over the horizon.

Nothing elaborate. No big plans. Just a boat at anchor, a beautiful Texas sunset, and time with people I love.

The older I get, the more I realize these are the moments that matter—the ones that don't need much planning and somehow become the memories you want to hold onto.

39 trips around the sun. I'm grateful for every one of them.
