8-Bit Show And Tell | My 386SX Laptop: X1541 C64 Transfers, 8086 Assembly, MS-DOS and More @8_Bit | Uploaded April 2020 | Updated October 2024, 14 hours ago.
I've owned this laptop since 1992, but I've only recently realized it has a bit of a mystery. Who really made it? I also show my X1541 cable to transfer files via Star Commander from a 1541 drive, the C64S emulator, the 8086 assembly language game I wrote in university, and more.

Update: mystery already solved! Thanks to Jim Leonard (co-creator of MobyGames and 8088 MPH coder) who identified my computer as a rebadged Nan Tan 2210.

Also thanks to Jason Compton for finding a review of 3 rebranded Nan Tan 2200 machines (from Bitwise, Micro Telesis, and National Micro Systems) in the August 1991 issue of PC Mag from pages 136 to 143 : books.google.ca/books?id=JkmqysqcLI0C&q=nan+tan+2200#v=snippet&q=nan%20tan%202200&f=false
