In 2015, my main role on a proposed Galaxy's Edge Beast was to create the Illusion of Life, so that visitors would swear that Ellie was alive. To that end, we did lots of pantomime and facial expression tests. And breathing tests.
But I also took a stab at how her saddle basket might operate.
This is a simple concept animatic I created just to explore.
By the way, I hoped that early morning visitors could weave wind-chime bells into her fur as active participation in Ellie's decorative grooming. She would have loved it.
