I got my electric bill down from $150/month to about $10/month by installing my own DIY Battery Solar system. Yes, it costs a lot up front but you're looking at an ROI of 8-10 years instead of a typical 20 years for a roof mounted solar system that is stalled for you.
The system is completely off grid so you do not have to mess with any compliance with the city but you still should follow any kind of precautions and safety standards such as proper wiring sizes, fuses, etc.

This is a Group 31 IP67 Splash proof battery. Although I would not recommend to intentionally splash a battery with water, the external enclosure uses rubber gaskets to seal it from water entering. The capacity checks out at over 102Ah when it is rated at 100Ah. The maximum discharge can go over 100 Amps but the closer it gets to 200 Amps, the shorter a time it can sustain this due to heating. I was able to discharge at a full 100 Amps for the entire capacity of the battery.
It uses cylindrical cell packs and 4 of these packs combine into the full 12.8V output. The cells are held together with plastic braces and glue extremely well to the bottom of the case. So well that I had a hard time removing it to inspect the batteries.

The 5th Wheel/Invanti Tide 2 bike is a 60lb foldable eBike that can haul up to 330lbs, run a maximum of 45 miles on battery with some peddaling (35 miles extrapolated testing with no pedalling), stops in 30 ft at 24mph, and goes a top speed of 25 mph. I found that it is very usable at 25mph going to places that are within a few miles away. Being foldable, it also fits in the trunk of my sedan. All around a very decently speced eBike with a very attractive price tag.

The Veryeah modular power station has separate battery, ac inverter, and 12-24V output power modules that makes it easy to replace individual parts. Expansion is easily done with additional batteries and a DC power hub.
Be careful that the AC inverter says 2400 Watts but you can only use 1000 Watt continuous PER DC Power Brick. That is, if you want 2400W output continuous and drain the entire pack, youll need 3 DC power bricks to do so. You can still draw 2400 Watts from a single DC power brick but you can only do so for a brief amount of time before it overheats. In my testing, this took roughly 12 minutes and the capacity appears to have been reduced when drawing at this rate on a single DC power brick.
When this in mind, if you use it according to intended specifications, it can have the advantage of being very modular.
Plus the DC saucepan non stick surface material has gone through extensive tests and is PTFT and PFOA free. Something I make sure to get in my frying pans to avoid harmful chemicals.

I tested out these Calpha Solar panels and went a bit overboard in testing out its features. I mean... really went off on a tangent and did a whole thesis on it almost. I took a look at the panel itself, checked the voltage, measured the sunlight power, the power the the panel compared to its theoretical, the mechanical features like plastic corners and puddle abatement with the drainage holes.
